Arusha MP, Godbless Lema accused of raping

 

Tanzanian woman based in the UK,accuses Arusha Urban Member of Parliament (MP) through ChaDeMa party,Godbless Jonathan Lema of rapping.

Flora Bahati Lymo,the woman in question, said in August last year,the outrageous Lema raped and beat her. She also said he had threatened to kill her if she exposed him

According to Flora,Lema and his colleagues from ChaDeMa,stomped London for political issues. They held a meeting and as a long-time blogger & entrepreneur, she was interested in attending so she gets info to share on her blog.

At the meeting ,Lema approached her and asked how many people have attended, she replied 50...then he told her to make adjustments so the number look big and impressive.They had a small chat and he wanted to give her a card but.......anyway that's how they met.It's a small world after all!!

After the meeting,while on the way, Lema was in need of bathroom and asked flora if he could use hers.She accepted and invited him to her house where he took advantage of her hospitality to rape her.

Flora resisted, but he beat her up and dragged her to the bedroom and raped her.

She tried to scream without success,then got a chance to call 999 and make a quick whisper.

He had already left by the time police arrived.They questioned the victim of crime and took her clothes and other items of evidence to the center for further investigation.

The authorities tried to track him down only to found out he escaped to Germany. From that day onwards, no trace of him has ever been found.

Flora filed rape case against Lema with ref no 4621279/2012.

Lema is still wanted in the UK,once he goes there he will be charged and arrested for raping and threatening the victim's life.

In January this year when she wanted to come to Tanzania, the court in the UK gave her a letter.As soon as she arrived she went straight to Central Police Station and opened the file number Mos/RB/17127/12 for protection under R.C.O Ramadhan Ng'anza.

While details are still emerging on the scandal,Lema denies the allegations and said the woman who claimed to have been raped in August made the story up for publicity stunt.

Flora says she will never ever give up on seeking justice for women who are raped every day and feel ashamed to speak out,even though it is not their fault. #JusticeForWomen

The rape scandal brought attention to the country.

But Lema is one of the most popular public figures in Tanzania,how come they say there had been no news of his whereabouts since he left UK?...just thinking loud!
