This is the Drakensberg mountains in South Africa, known in the local Zulu language as uKhahlamba which means "barrier of spears". The mountains are the highest and longest in Southern Africa and are frequented by many hikers and nature lovers each year.
Pictured here is the famous "Amphitheatre" formation where the world's second-highest waterfall, the Tugela Falls, is located.
